| UKA Member Feature - Dakota Beckett
This month we feature Dakota Beckett from Hannibal, Missouri. Dakota is a 13 year old blackbelt who has been competing in the local tournament circuits for many years now. He recently travelled to Germany to compete in the World Martial Arts Games (WMAG) joining the ranks of other international martial artists. Dakota shares this great picture showing him wearing three gold medals from WMAG and an impressive display of tropheys. Keep up the great work Dakota!

| UKA Member Heads to Hollywood
 Preston Barden, an 8 year old UKA member, flew out to Hollywood to tape a show with Jimmy Kimmel on June 14th but unfortunately got bumped from the show due to the Michael Jackson verdict breaking. The show's producers asked the Barden family to fly back out on July 7th and with a day's notice, Preston flew out on Friday the 8th. Preston was on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday July 8th. Also appearing was Magic Johnson. Way to go Preston!
| UKA Member Attends World Martial Arts Games
UKA member, Sarah Smith, returned from the sixth annal World Martial Arts Games held in Rosenheim, Germany, July 15-17, this year. The World Martial Games allows for competition between all martial arts styles and systems, all ages and all belt ranks. Vist Sarah's Germany Trip Gallery for some great pictures of the US Team America in Germany. Congratulation Sarah on the two gold medals and one silver medal!
| Three Tigers UKA Members Return from Germany
Eleven martial artists from the O’Fallon (IL) YMCA have returned with resounding success from the World Martial Arts Games. Results from the Upper Midwest Team America are posted on the last two pages of the Three Tigers August newsletter.
